All of my chicks have fecal matter with no apparent urates. Is this a concern?
No one has pasty butt and no inflamed vents. No one strains to pass the feces. The consistency is solid, but not hard. It will hold its form, but is soft enough to smear with a paper towel. There is no strong odor.
My girls were hatched on March 23rd or 24th. I purchased them from Hoover's.
They are all energetic, with great appetites. I'm feeding them Manna Pro non-medicated chick starter. Their water consumption is acceptable. A few are smaller, but not runts by any means.
