Yesterday I went to let my ducks inside and found another duck dead in the coop. Its neck feathers were wet and nothing was even eaten. I still have no clue what would have done it. The coop is fenced in so It couldn't have been a dog.

I've had a ton of rat snakes recently would it do something like this?

Any thoughts?

It took us a while to find this 6’ one he was hiding in the storage loft we took everything out ( good way to do some needed cleaning out) and found him hiding my dh carried him off. They only one I’ve ever killed was the one I found with a 2 day old Muscovy in a death grip. I managed to un wind that snake and saved the duckling the snake wasn’t so lucky. The coop they go into now stays closed up during the day.
