Well, the good news is that he's up in our own tree, because deer are coming to our place. I used to get a lot more annoyed when he was traveling to hunt, because honestly, I worried. Guns are not really second-nature to me; they're foreign and a little scary. Speaking of which, I'm happier when he's hunting during bow season, just because there are fewer other hunters out there. I dunno..."deer camp" stories I grew up hearing always involved lots and lots of alcohol, and gave me an impression of the woods being full of testosterone-charged drunks with loaded guns.
Usually, I DO have a plan for something to do with my daughter when he's gone, but last night he sprang it on me after work--"Hey, I'm gonna go up in the tree." Because it's right outside! Hee.
