It sadly died last night after I fell asleep.... To bad though because it was one of the cream Legbars and it was a pulletHas it finished hatching yet so that you can have a good look at it yet?

Congrats!I'm glad that the nest is ant free. Sorry that you lost your girl. I have 3 of the Crested Cream Legbar girls over here that have finally started laying those little blue pullet eggs.
When my Cream Legbar hen went broody she had no eggs under her... She was in the same as my RSL mix broody the she moved to the other nesting box...I had heard that the Cream Legbar's don't go broody unless you leave a pile of eggs. Mine were hatched out on Dec. 15th of 2017. I only have one hen that is older than they are, and she's a Splash Australorp. Her mother went broody last year about this time and died on the nest. The temps were 118 F. This year if I have a broody, I'll be soaking her in some ice water to try to break her of it.
When my Cream Legbar hen went broody she had no eggs under her... She was in the same as my RSL mix broody the she moved to the other nesting box...
But I'm sorry about losing your hen.. I'm not gonna let my EE hatch any eggs... But my CLB hen has like 3 EE eggs under her if they hatch they hatch....
