Well, could be worse.
I need better paper though, I’m always getting pilling no matter how gentle I am.

Plus, I think I dilute the pigment too much…

Go for 100% cotton and 140+lb paper. With watercolor, over-dilution is a good problem to have - you can fix it by layering on top of the dried paint.
