Any Home Bakers Here?

Since it seems relevant in this thread, I’m going to ask. I have an allergy to mushrooms. Looking at a picture has my chest tight, and I have a few hives.
Anyway, I am wondering what to do in this one case. Duckling really wants mushroom pizza. I explained that she needs to eat at the table, and all the other precautions. Now I need to get fresh mushrooms. Do I want Baby Bella or White? I used to add mushrooms to my husband’s food (no comment on the magic kind), but he picked them out. I don’t know what kind they were.

Has she had them at other places ? that would be my first question? could she be allergic?
She would have to put them on the pizza you have tongs available to you ..
I am anaphylactic but my better half can eat them brush his teeth I am fine but next day kissing him and so on ..

Some sourdough bakers will feed the crumpets to the Dog but I would have some home made yogurt and maple syrup on them!

Toasting them is a good way to go. They also freeze well
I don’t have a dog, haha! We had them the next morning with butter and syrup. I heated them in an iron skillet but they were gushy in the middle. Not a very good mouth feel. The flavor was quite sour but not in a terribly pleasing way. Since it started out with a dairy ferment I wonder if the flavor will change once all dairy is gone by the next feeding or two.

I prefer baby bella, but if you're allergic, duckling could be too.

She isn’t. She eats them elsewhere. I’m glad. I know mushrooms are in many things. I feel special that as my %^*#•^ *#}£{ husband’s third wife, my m-i-l stopped making green bean casserole with mushroom soup regardless of who’s eating it. :highfive:

White. You want them to look white, also not not dry and looking like they have scales. Wear gloves when you handle them, please!

Thank you.
Yes, I will wear gloves, and make her stay at the table (though outside might work better). I’ll wipe her with a baby wipe, and clean whatever is around her. She is old enough now that I think it’s safe to let her eat them here. It’s funny, I am buying fresh because it’s all my husband could stand, and it’s just more appealing to look at. As far as my allergy, it’s also safer. No juice/liquid to drip.

That's a good hand. Pung of own wind, all pungs, and a pair.

Anyway, I'm planning on making pizza sometime. Don't know when.

Anyway, I feel the need to tell you all this. I am having some problems with my medication. Seeing my psychiatric doctor on Tuesday. My depression is very bad.

I should be fine until then, but please keep me in your thoughts.

Jared
