Any Home Bakers Here?

I have critters that needed tended to.
I am more important! :tongue
They start almost immediately in warm soil if they have eyes starting.

I start potatoes directly in the ground. Here I plant them the first of May. I have planted them as late as the first of June and they produced fine. Once they start blooming, they already have taters growing.
My patience is gone. I want them, and I want them now.
 
Well, I didn’t find the bag of potatoes hiding until a week or two ago.
In other words, they were already growing before you planted them.Mine that I dug up last fall are all trying to grow. Yesterday I found a coffee can of some I had forgotten about.
 
Apple Cake

1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup Sucralose
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup butter (softened)
3 eggs

2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp nutmeg

4 cups chopped apples
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Heat oven to 350°F.

Butter and flour 13"x9"x2" pan.

Mix sugar, Sucralose, honey and eggs until blended. Beat one minute. Stir in flour, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, vanilla and nuts.

Fold in apples.

Pour into baking pan.

Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes until wooden toothpick comes out clean.

I used Cosmic Crisp apples.
