Sorry I missed your post earlier! (Hopefully you log back in and check this thread!) I'm in North Idaho (Saint Maries area) but I travel a lot for work.

We recently moved to Sandpoint. We have eight barnyard mix chickens. I've had other flocks besides this one in another state. I'm hoping to develop relationships with other farming friends in my area. Are you nearby?
I also garden and we are developing our land. I'd like to find a resource nearby for pullets in the spring. Do you know of any?

There is a member in our state thread that I've seen advertise chicks in the springtime. I can't vouche for the business or the birds, but it might be an option!

I don't think they are too active, but might be worth asking or calling (they left a phone number in one post.) I've also seen them post on Craigslist. Here's a link to the first post:

I usually just buy hatchery chicks from our local feed store, North40 or Tractor Supply.

Hello Jener8or! Thank you for your quick reply and great info!
I have raised chicks before and know the time and energy it takes. Right now that is not where I want to spend my energy because I'll be putting in a garden and orchard this spring with fencing. It is time to add a few new girls into the flock to keep the eggs coming and I'm taking the easy road so I can keep my sanity being kind to myself!
I saw that back in 2021 Pack River Farms had pullets for sale but have not seen anything since then.
I'll hop over to the Idaho threads.
