Any Recommendations For Coop Disinfecting And Maintenance?

It's one thing to sanitize it, and for that we use Odoban spray, but maintaining a clean coop and run is just maintenance when it needs it.

We have horse bedding pellets on the floor, and those get changed once a year. The top of the nest boxes is where they roost (silkies) and that has stall refresher on it but gets cleaned about once every couple of weeks.

I love having a sand box under my roost. Clean it daily or even few days. To keep it clean.
Mainly just cleaning droppings often.

Some use a deep litter method but I haven't.

Are you trying to disinfect for a particular reason (i.e. bought a used coop) or are you talking about general cleaning? If general cleaning what's the size/style of the coop and how many birds, and what form of litter do you use/plan to use?

For general cleaning I use a broom, rake, poop scooper, leaf blower and a putty scraper if there's some poop dried and caked somewhere. That's for a walk in coop with wood floor that gets cleaned annually, and a run with deep litter.
