Anyone catch wild pigeons and free-range them?

It can happen. When I was young my father rescued an adult pigeon who broke its wing. We fed it and weaned it back to health and then released it. Every night the bird returned to us and waited outside until we let it into the patio. After that we were stuck with a pigeon (much to my joy) until the hawk got to it.

You can also let them wear pigeon pants, which will secure them and keep your house clean
