Anyone ever had "leaking" eggs?

I have had some eggs in the incubator for 5 days. They were candled when I received them and no cracks were found. They started beading what I thought was moisture at first, but my humidity was fine. Then the beads began turning yellow. I have opened all of these eggs and only one had a broken yolk. I was wondering if anyone has ever had this occur with them.

This is the one with the broken yolk

None of these had ruptured yolks that we could tell, but the egg white had a yellow tinge to it

Also, these were shipped eggs that traveled a long distance. I thought it might have something to due with air pressure if they were flown in?? Comments PLEASE--I'm really curious--I've never seen "crying" eggs!

I had the same thing happen with some eggs I just received. I was wondering about that too. They weren't bad, I put them in the bator and hopefully they will be ok. I wonder if the eggs are old?

From what I know, an egg would only "weep" when bacteria inside caused the contents to expand so as to flow through the pores... Just think of a carton of spoiled milk: as bacteria builds up, the carton will begin to enlarge. If it's bad enough, the pressure from the bacteria will cause the carton – and the egg – to explode.

Remove visibly weeping eggs.

I will do that. Thank you for the info. I wish I would have known that before. I hope all my other eggs will be ok. I'm not sure about shipped eggs anymore. I believe all 14 eggs were like that.

I had 1 silkie egg that I had to remove today because of the same thing. Luckily it didn't explode all over the other eggs in the bator. It was a shipped egg and looked to be fine when I initially candled it.

So sorry about your eggs! Were they really flown? I will keep that in mind if I ever have them shipped. I wish it didn't happen- but we may all learn a little from this.

I'm going to check all of my eggs when I get home. I believe the 12 or 14 that I received from someone had what looked like dried yolk on them and a couple of them had some wetness. I will be soooo mad if those eggs contaminated all my other eggs.

I'm glad I wasn't the only person this has happened to. I had 12 eggs and now I'm down to 1--no leaking and there is veining and a wiggling embryo in there. I also had 7 silkie eggs in with them that seem to be progressing okay. It was just a shock to have oozing eggs--when I candled the day of receipt, all of the shells looked solid with no cracks. When I candled today they looked speckled. Thanks so much for the input. I just thought it was so strange.
