Anyone ever heard of Speckledy hen

It's a hybrid. I have tried finding them here in US, but from what I have found they are mostly in the UK. I may be searching the wrong places, but I would really like some of them. Not sure what they are crossed with though.
 
Do those lay a dark chestnut-brown egg? It looks like a Speckled Sussex, my book says it is a layer of a dark chestnut-brown egg. So I am assuming that it isn't that breed.
 
I wonder if the book I have which is "A slice of organic life" if it has the wrong picture of the chicken. The hen actually looks like a Speckled Sussex, but that web site you put up says different so do others.
 
Sorry don't know- Maybe you could write Barry at Feathersite.com , He's always taken time to answer questions that I couldn't find anywhere else. It could just be a name that's mostly used in the UK. I ran across a breed called "Allen Setter bantams" at one time and he was the only one who had ever heard of them and later he put them in his list of Chicken Breeds. Good luck in your search - If I run across any info on the web , I will post it here for you to read.
