Anyone feed tomato cutworms to their ducks?

Gee whiz, these things are as big as my thumb! (yeah, I don't have really big thumbs, but I'm the one picking them off the tomatoes).

Thought of tossing them to the ducks. But are they safe?

yesterday and today they managed to find them on their own A, duck got one yesterday a chicken today and yes they are big and I asked them please don't eat them in front of me. yuck
 
I was concerned not only about toxicity, but, mercy, choking!!!! I don't know if I can watch, except I want to make sure - well, how do I say this in polite company? - everything goes down the hatch okay.

Like when they first starting eating the 3 and 4 inch long slugs. shudder.

I know disgusting. I didn't even have a chance to get these they snatched them up and ran for their lives with everyone hot on their "Tails" but so far they are still alive . Kinds like a Big Mac for ducks lol
 
Mine found a huge grasshopper the other day-- I barely had time to see what it was before 4 of them grabbed him... I believe in the Middle Ages, it was called "Drawn and Quartered"

My chickens do that with the frogs they find around the yard. Part of me feels bad for the frog but it's just so darn hilarious to watch.
