more than one color in its crest versus a regular type polish?
Reason I am asking is my friend lost her favorite rooster Fabio to a predator attack along with most of her flock. She only wants a Polish Rooster similiar to Fabio when they get their coop fixed and predator proofed.

Fabio had more than one color in his crest and tail feathers were similiar in color to her red sex link hens in that he would tuck his head down among the hens with his butt in the air when hiding from their top rooster Bubba. (Bubba also was taken)

I want to help her find another Polish rooster similiar to what she had. The guy that sold her Fabio is no longer in business. He told her that Fabio was a top hat Polish. I am not familiar with the breed so am not sure what this means. I have only seen Polish as Polish for sale. Can someone let me know what the difference is.

You are most likely thinking of sort sort of laced variety, like a golden laced Link or a silver laced. Another Link

There is no such breed as a 'Top Hat' Polish. Top Hat simply refers to any breed with a crest, Polish or not.

Check out theMurray McMurray site. In their catalog, they show what I think you're looking for.

Wow there are Creole Polish? That is pretty.
I am not sure what Fabio was, but Kim really loved him. All I know is that he could blend in with her red sex link hens by ducking his head when hiding from Bubba and had multi colors in his crest.

Where can I get Creole Polish from?

They are not CreOle, but the color is called Crele. You can surf around on here or check with hatcheries. There is a section on BYC for 'wanted' ads.
Good luck. Just tell Kim to remember, just because she loved that one bird, doesn't mean they are all just like him in personality.
Good luck on your search.

Crele are pretty darn rare. . .

Your Fabio sounds like a poor quality (as in, there's not much "lacing") Buff Laced or a cross of colors (which some people often do)
