Anyone try both Kalmbach and Pouin Grain chicken feed? Which would you get?

I'm thinking of the future when my little fluff balls are no longer eating chick crumbles. I have two farm supply stores that are local. One that carries Kalmbach and the other carries Poulin. Is there anyone who has experience with both and have a favorite? Thanks!

Never heard of poulin but I've been feeding my girls kalmbach's flock maker pellets for the last year and they've done wonderfully on it! Many others here use it with good results too, the only thing to keep in mind is they will need crushed oyster shell on the side for calcium but it's a very solid feed

We love Kalmbach! We just brought home a few chicks this weekend and have the chickhouse reserve and flock maker crumbles. We haven't had any roo's but I was wondering what to do about their Kalmbach feed in case we end up with one. Good to know! Thanks, FrostRanger!

That feed would work for both roosters and hens. It's basically an all flock just under a different name. As long as you have oyster shell on the side for the hens you'll be good

Thank you so much for the replies! Sounds like Kalmbach is a good quality food. I'll stick with that! The great news is the owner of the store drives past my house each day and offered to drop it off whenever I need more.
