Anyone use Mazuri Waterfowl Breeder feed?

Hi all,

The avian vet we take our ducks to suggested we switch over to feeding the girls Mazuri Waterfowl Breeder feed (https://www.mazuri.com/mazuri/ccrz_...isCSRFlow=true&portalUser=&store=&cclcl=en_US).

Has anyone used this feed before? We just picked up a 50lb bag and the girls seem to be having a hard time eating the pellets.

If they are having a hard time eating the pellets then you can put water in their food so it makes it mushy and it will crumble.

I use Mazuri maintenance formula. I float the feed in bowl and they eat it after it softens. They love it. Hope your girls will decide to eat it!

Actually, Mazuri is made to float on water. It will not get mushy.

Thanks for the advice, everyone! Today we put water in their food bowl with a combo of their old feed (which can be fermented in water) and the new Mazuri feed. They seemed a bit more interested, but unfortunately one of the crows I've befriended LOVES the Mazuri feed! I'm talking about he's boldly strutting across the garden area and stealing the Mazuri feed right out of the ducks' food bowl! The ducks just watch, so they're no help.

You gotta get a video of the crows! Sorry, I have no real experience feeding Mazuri (bought one bag years ago, but it's too expensive, so I stopped feeding it).

@casportpony don't have any videos of Sunny stealing duck food yet, but here he is "talking" to me. I don't speak Crow, but I think he's asking for peanuts and/or duck food!

Yeah, Sunny and his mate Starla keep us on our toes! Starla tends to be more skittish than Sunny, but Sunny seems to have no problem coming right up to/landing on our car, watching us through the kitchen window, and partaking in treats for the ducks. He even once tried stealing their plastic treat dispenser!
