Good morning everyone!

This past Saturday I attended the Appalachain Classic in Morehead, KY. There were over 1,200 birds in the show and more in the sale area. I brought only chickens this time around. Wanted to give the ducks a break before I bring most of the ducks I have to the Dalton, GA show two weeks from now.
I brought 9 Wyandotte bantams. 1 partridge pullet, 2 black pullets, 1 black cockerel, 4 white pullets, and 1 white cockerel. I got Best of Variety with my black cockerel and Reserve Variety with a white pullet.

It was a great show with lots of familiar faces. I ended up adding three new birds to my flock that I am very excited to breed this season. I bought a pair of columbian Wyandotte bantams and a single splash Wyandotte pullet. I've been wanting to get my hands on these for two different projects. The splash pullet will be bred to my black male to create blue offspring. Then I'll breed blue to partridge to create blue partridge. The Columbian will be bred to partridge to work towards silver penciled Wyandottes.

You should just breed the splash straight to partridge and cut out the middle man. Of course the first generation will be leaky blue, but breed those to partridge to get some blue and black partridge.

You know, I didn't even think of that. I'll do that instead. I do want some blues besides for the project.
