our enclosure is pretty bigtitle says my question.
It depends on the disposition of the males, but it is unlikely to work out well. If you are very lucky and the males don't fight, with only 1.5 hens per roo, the girls are likely to get overbred. In the best case, this means bald hens. It is more likely that they will get head injuries, and it is possible that they will be killed.
isn't that 2.5 hens per roo?It depends on the disposition of the males, but it is unlikely to work out well. You're right. I read that as 5 birds total, not 5 hens for some reason. Overbreeding is still an issue, however, since a male should have 3-5 hens, with 5 being ideal.isn't that 2.5 hens per roo?
