Hello,
Been lurking around on the forum for awhile. Finally looked more into bumble foot. We adopted a rather special duck and now think she has bumblefoot. It seems like one large lump is bumble, but are the little ones as well? Going to get supplies and start treatment soon, just trying to plan scope.

She is a little stumbly on occasion but I'd say she moves pretty well and not with any consistent limp. We thought the stumbles might just be a quirk associated with also having a kink in her neck. But now realizing it might be more of a foot thing. We're definitely going to try home treatment on the big lump. but the littler ones are normal foot color, should we do anything to those?

I’d say that big one needs attention right away soaks in warm Epsom salt water and either clear iodine applied after or veterycin spray then after 2-3 days start trying to work the scab off easily you don’t want to tear healthy skin so don’t be in a hurry. Once you get that scab off your either going to have to dig out that core (it’s think not runny) or use a pair of tweezers and dig it out with them then pack the hole with some type of antibiotic ointment and warp till healed. Keep her contained till hole is healed over. Hopefully the smaller ones will heal with soaks and treatment with out anything else done.

Just let me add that if you can get some 1/4" plain packing or iodoform to pack it with that would be even better. The iodoform is already medicated, the plain you could put ointment on and then pack it.
