Are Bougainvillea poisonous to chickens ?

I want to plant a Bougainvillea on the outside of my coop to grow up the side for some more shade....but...the chics certainly will eat whats on their side.

Are they poisonous ?

Don't think so... had tons of huge bushes all over the property at our old house, no ill effects seen. A friend has some inside their huge peafowl aviary, he had to screen them off as they ate the leaves and flowers off them. No sick birds either.

It will one beautiful coop once the bush gets big and is in full flower!
