I don't think quail-pigeon hybrids are possible. They are not from the same Clade. Let's say you mated it somehow. If the chromosome numbers are not the same, you cannot get healthy birds.I saw what I think was a quail-pigeon cross once. That thing looked weird. It was raised as a quail by a quail mother, but it flew well and its call wasn't quail at all. It's topknot was about half the size it should have been and as an adult the bird was bigger than a quail.
