Hi everyone
I just got ducks and washing eggs today I noticed that some of my so called chicken eggs where bigger than normal
Are they duck eggs
And also any tips on telling the difference between the to

Duck eggs usually have a thicker shell and much bigger yolks than chicken eggs.
I also noticed a difference in the texture of the shell.
They might be duck eggs, but I would have to be there to look at them and feel them to be sure.

Also, if the egg is filthy, it is likely a duck egg. Not uncommon to find duck poop on their eggs.

Best test? Crack that sucker. If it cracks like a chicken egg, it is a chicken egg. Duck eggs are much thicker, harder and the membrane inside is harder to separate. There will be no doubt if you try to open it.
