Hello! This is my first ever post after months of lurking as a non member!

I have a small mixed flock.

These are my believed americuanas (no Tufts/moustache)

I'm aware it's hard to sex from birth.. I hatched these from an egg in April this year and there still not laying ... Can anyone tell me if they are boys or girls???

Thanks in advance!

They are pullets. They are likely a mix, americauna's don't have feathered legs. Link following with pictures of feather footed breeds. Did you purchase the eggs? Some breeds, and individual birds, can be slower to mature, so start of lay can take longer in some. As long as they are acting normally, I would not worry, it will happen when they are ready. Some breeds are more sensitive to the shortened hours of daylight in winter also, but that usually becomes more apparent as they age.

Thanks everyone!! I'm glad there hens! I wonder which cock I'd pair them with to breed then?

Erm well to start It was my first ever hatch so I had multiple different eggs in the incubators ... Obviously I now know that you aren't supposed to do that!

I had 120 eggs in and I bought from 5 different people.

I successfully hatched 80% of them. breeds below but a few of them were eaten from my coop due to human error and lack of experience..

I had white eggs, brown eggs, blue eggs, tiny eggs, big brown eggs (the excitement took over haha)

I had asked for Brahma, leghorn, Sussex, RIR. And the guy who sold me the Bramha said take some of these eggs to too, which I don't recall which survived to live today

So in all honesty they could be absolutely anything 😂

But from the photos I've looked at they most resemble the aracuna/americuana...
I'd not thought about the furry legs as I say I'm learning as I go.

I would assume guess they're Brahma-mixes :) By any chance are you from outside the US where Partridge Brahmas are quite common? :)
