Only 3 or 4 that's publicly admitted to it but I suspect the real number is much much higher.
The low number is disappointing but it's not from lack of trying.

You say that like it's a bad thing?
Moonshining was a kind of family tradition on my dad's side.
It mostly ended with my grandfather but I can remember way back when I was young on Sunday afternoons he would hook up a pair of Shetland ponies to a wagon and we would hit the back roads. I never thought much about it but we would often stop and visit people and they would have a few drinks.
I really don't know if he was making deliveries or just friendly like that but it was kind of something he was known for.
When I got to being a teen it kind of got around that it could usually be found somewhere around my grandfather's place. For a minute I got to be known as the guy that could get some moonshine for parties. Hence it became a kind of nickname. My drinking career wasn't very long lived and the name faded away with it. With forums and such all the good names were always already taken but I found once that it wasn't so I used it. I pretty much used it since.
