I love them. They take care of each other. Very sweet.

I have one Austra White Hen a little flighty, but tolerates handling. Broody 3 times this spring, so this last time I gave her some eggs to hatch. Hope she makes a good mom.I love them. They take care of each other. Very sweet.
Got mine on September 12th last year, mine are a bit flighty, but they are fun to watch running around n jumping when startled, especially when they hear the local hawk screaming, seeing as it did get one of mine a few weeks back which made me mad n I got pellet rifle if he decides to come around again. They are also very curious about everything, but I'm still learning their personalities. Will post pics if n when I take some.My feed store will be selling Austra Whites- a cross between a Black austrolorp and white leghorn. Does any one have any of these. What type of personalities do they have? How are they working out for you?
Thanks
Okay the Blue Orpington hatched the same day as my Austra White has laid her first light brown small egg exactly 4.5 weeks.
