FINALLY after a month of nonstop weekend and nights working on this coop it is DONE. Thanks to my dear husband. We purchased a 25 x 50 piece of 1 inch heavy knotted netting from 3T Products for around $140 with shipping. We used an old telephone pole that he buried 4 feet in the ground then attached pvc pipe to it and the fence and then put the netting over it. I THINK we are now pretty predator safe. We have 2 x 4 fencing with the small chicken wire to reinforce the bottom that goes up about 3 feet from the bottom of the fence. He buried both fences a foot in the ground and put boards along the whole bottom. The aviary netting comes down over the whole fence to the bottom as well. We put hardware cloth over the screen door so no coons could break thru. I've been good so far about putting them in before dark and locking them up but now if there is a time we do forget I think they will be pretty safe.
