Ok, all... It is official... I can't keep all the chickens I have and I really, REALLY want the Red Dorkings... So, I have a proposition. I have a really nice flock of Silver Grays, 9 hens and a rooster. It would be nice if someone had Reds and wanted to trade. I'm gonna list them on the sale page for $15 each that way I can buy my reds but like I said, I'd LOVE to trade for a grown up stock.

Are you willing to ship? I couldn't take the whole flock, but I have a friend who is also looking for some. We're in Central New York, near Syracuse.

I'm definitely getting some from Roger and his e-mail to me yesterday is what spurred this decision on. I also have an order coming from Sandhill. I'm hoping I can get another group from someone else so if I'm lucky, I'll get several different blood lines to start my project on.

Again, I'd LOVE to trade mine for Reds.

No, I'm sorry guys. I don't know anything about shipping chickens and I'm NOT NPIP so I can't imagine that working for me. The chickens were purchased as chicks from Ideal and so they were NPIP but I haven't done the work to do that yet.

Really, this will need to be a pick up and I'd like them all to go at once.

I'm a sorry for your one who did not make it.

I hatched 7 last spring myself, and had one die in my hand as I was placing it in the brooder for no apparent reason at all.

So I took the precious little chicken soul, and buried it under a day lilly I needed to plant So instead of me being sad about it, it now still makes me smile when I think of it sleeping away under the lovely flowers.
