Hi Everyone,

I just recently hatched baby chicks for the first time and everything is going great. One chick seems to have a deformed hip. I was wondering if there is anything i can do to help fix it. All of the other chicks are picking on it and not letting it eat.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Mark

Welcome to BYC. There looks to be a bone deformity from birth that has her leg internally rotated, but I'm not an expert. Many chicks will have the leg externally rotated at the tibia or the femur. Another common issue is a slipped tendon. For any leg issues I would always place the chick on poultry vitamins in the water while research is done to tell if it is an issue that can be fixed. Here are a couple of links for you: https://sites.google.com/a/poultrypedia.com/poultrypedia/poultry-podiatry
