Chick hatched leg injury

Hi, I had a chick hatch foot first. Its leg came out twisted the wrong way. It can’t seem to put weight on the injured foot.

We splinted the legs like you would for splayed leg. She can’t stand on her legs though. When I place her in standing position she plops down. Her hips feel the same on both sides to me.

I’ve given her vitamin b and nutridrench. I have her in a cup to keep her upright. Anything else I should be doing?
.

I would put her back in the incubator if that's possible. Usually that works as they may have needed a little more time to develop and a 12 -24-hour rest does them good!

Good to give her the B, but it should be B-complex if it isn't.

We've had a couple like that along the way, and they are always fine in the end. It sounds like you're doing well with her. Hopefully, she improves in a day or two!

Thanks! She’s doing a lot better now! Only struggling to stand after lying down, but can walk just fine now!

She’s now in the brooder with everyone.
