Okay soo I got some baby chicks and one of them seems a little bigger then the other babies I asked if that would be a problem at the tractor supply and they said no. Now I get home and she chases the others who are eatting or just walking by and gives them a peck. Kinda as if she trying to say this is all mine!!! What should I do separate maybe? Oh and let me add this chick even try’s to peck me! Should I try return it? I just got it today.

*it’s one in the middle*

It is just some thing called the pecking order they will do this more and more as they grow, to show dominance over each other. If it gets really bad you should separate her.
Thank u for the advice! So just kinda see. At what point really bad ? If she hurting them?

Yeah, totally normal for a little pecking here and there just don't want them to all gang up on one or for the one to make any bleed. If you catch them in the act you can pick her up and separate her or show her youre the head chick by pressing down gently on her back. She should squat down which is her submitting to you.

Yep, pecking order starts young. As the chicks grow, you will probably see the pecking order change. As long as there is no blood drawn, then everything is OK. If you see blood, separate the offending chick for a period of time. Also, if a chick gets bloody, you might have to separate that chick for a short period of time until the wound is no longer bleeding. Make sure you clean up the blood before putting it back in with the other chicks.

Like someone else mentioned, make sure you have a brooder big enough for a chick to run away from being pecked. If the brooder is too small for the number of your chicks, that can lead to bad behavior.
