One of my sister's rabbits, Clover, male, Sage, female, is pregnant. We reckon that when we wake up we'll have baby rabbits!
Sage is racing around like mad and grabbing facefulls of grass and straw and bark.... and even Clovers' fur...
She started pulled fur 2 days ago.... I think... if not 2 then 1. She made her first draft of a nest a week or so ago.
Her and Clover have built a warren under the chicken coop. (Of course! Where else?! )
It spans that whole coop (Not pen) which is 2 by 2 meters. So if she has babies it'll be under there. (She is free range while she is nesting, Mum wants her to have a natural birth.)
Sage is mad.
But to make it fun....I've made a guessing game! How many babies do you think Sage will have?! (Fingers crossed [
] she doesn't kill her babies. That is one reason Mum wants her to have a natural birth, less stress.)
