Ok, this lil guy is about a week old and he seems great no problems at all, but his toe tip is dark grey and looks dead. He doesn’t seem in pain, but It’s not just coloration. I think he had it since hatch, but I just thought it was natural color then, seeing as he has black and pink legs.

Looks like natural pigmentation to me. I would not worry about it.

it definitely isn’t pigment, I don’t feel the need to worry, because the baby seems happy and vital, but now the toe is twisted shriveled and black at the tip, she doesn’t seem to have feeling in it. The only thing that mildly worries me is that the toe is a tiny bit swollen.

It’s hard to tell from the photos angle but are you talking about the spot at the end of the toe near the claw, or are you talking about there the toe meets the foot( orange arrow)? If it’s where the toe meets the foot ( green arrow) then that looks like normal foot pigmentation. But I think maybe another angle of that toenail would help. The one with the orange arrow does look a different color to me.

I am talking about the toe tip, I can get a better one but my my camera wouldn’t really focus, so it may be blurry

Okay these are a little bit more clear. It almost looks like it could be a manure ball. Have you tried a damp warm rag or soaking the foot in warm water for a minute or two? Sometimes baby fowl in brooders get dirty feet and it can dry and look kind of like that

I don’t think it’s poop, as he’s had it since hatch, but I will try. Thanks.

It isn’t poop, I soaked her foot for a few minutes and then wiped it with a paper towel, it’s definitely part of her toe, as of today the toe appears a bit swollen.
I put some none pain relief antibiotic ointment on it, she seems to have no feeling in the black part, it looks like it may just fall off on its own.

If it falls off, it will be fine. Many turkeys get along fine with a missing claw.
