Backyard quail legality in hagerstown MD

Hello! Long time lurker here, but first time poster.

It looks like we're finally buying a house, and I'd like to get some quail for eggs and meat.

I'm having an awfully hard time trying to find any info about the legality of quail or other non chicken birds within the city limits of Hagerstown.

I can't imagine anyone would take issue with us having maybe 10 or so quail kept in a large rabbit hutch, but any birds can be noisy. I'd hate to keep our neighbour's up.

Does anyone have any insight or advice for us? Thanks!

This may or may not be of help to you as it doesn't say 'quail' specifically, but rather it says 'poultry'.

Well, yes... it does apply... when you click the register your flock link on the website, it specifically mentions quail (and all other manner of poultry and birds).

FYI, registering your flock is mandatory, and free.

Whether the counties that you wish to reside have prohibitions wasn't mentioned, so I don't know about that.
