My parents have a couple muscovies that are bullying their geese and pushing them out to the road. I've offered to take the ducks at my house instead to give the geese a break. However, I live in town. I've already checked; ducks are allowed. I plan to clip their wings and let them free roam in my big yard while I'm home. Overnight and while I'm away, they'll go into a smaller, more contained and protected area of the yard.
However, just in case they manage to get out, I wanted to band them. I'm hoping someone can point me toward a place to find bands for already grown ducks that will be sturdy and safe. I'm also hoping to find ones that are customizable where I can put a phone number on them. Lastly, I grew up with birds, including muscovies, but all out of town. Anything in particular I may not have considered about having them in town?
