bantam space requirements

I am doing a project and I cannot find the space requirements for silkies as mothers, young chicks, and injured/sick. does any one have any idea to the right amount of space?

Any bantam coop should have at least 4 square feet of space.

For a silkie pen, I would say around 8sq ft. Or more. Depending on how long they will stay in there. Not much space is needed for day old babies, but tiny babies grow up. An immobile chicken on the other hand will not need much space at all. Chicks don't need tons of space but keep in mind they grow fast. I think it's around 1-2 sq foot per chick for the first couple weeks and then increase. At least that's my reasoning.

I think with bantam you can technically go a bit smaller because...bantams are physically smaller. It's always better to go bigger though.

Build as large as you can regardless. Minimum spaces are never best...
