Barbu d’Anvers

I have heard that there are chickens that just genetically do not have combs. I have never seen one. I cannot find any via google image. So it's pretty rare.

What is more likely is that your little bird simply isn't maturing quickly, due to it being winter right now. Chickens just don't mature as quickly in winter, and small rose or strawberry combs can take a while to actually look like combs.

So if she seems healthy, don't worry about it. It'll probably start coming in around springtime, as the days lengthen.
