it was german shepherd or GS mix? if I remember well. I have 2 GS that are tied at day time. I don't trust them as they killed some of my animals as well as any cat that came near. my 2 cats stay inside at night when my dogs are free.

My indoor dog, I trust cats with. My livestock guardian? If he can, he would catch and probably eat cats wandering across his pasture. If I had barn cats, I would be able to train him, but I guess it keeps away neighbor cats from stealing chicks and poults. My only predator kills this year were from a Cooper's Hawk, he snagged a pullet that flew up with fear when he entered the grow out pen. I was pretty mad about that! And, my livestock guardian dog is still young since I lost my first one, so he really loves chasing poultry, and we are working on that. He is so very big, just putting his paws on a bird will smoosh it. He is 11 months old and 170 lbs already! He is a Boz dog.

View attachment 4107266Saw these listed in eBay. I’m not going to spend £80 (about $100) on a dozen eggs, and don’t need more French standards, but thought they were interesting.

They’ll be taken down soon anyway as all eggs are being taken off of eBay. All mine were taken down today without warning due to a policy change.
If I could get some of these in a few year’s time after the GCM project is underway I would consider trying a porcelain/isabel cuckoo marans project, even if they aren’t showable. I don’t know if that variety has ever been bred before.
