this guy has a low tail but in a pure form , his parent are high tail ,
ifthe guy is matted to a low tail hen than a lot of his progeny will have low tail .
another factor to conseder is the dominant of the individual in the mating , some breeders have very high dominant in the matting meanning the will alway pass down the genes ,they stamp they progeny , other are low dominant they genes never show up . or they do not stamp they progeny .
I spocked before about my hen Matanushka , she is dominant in the matting most of her sons look a like regardless they sire ,she really stamp her sons not her daughter ,
she has a low tail but she produce high tail cockerel

Thank you for analysing them.
He is going to be bred to English cuckoo marans for my Golden Cuckoo project. I’m using two unrelated lines of cuckoos so I’ll pair him with the line with the lowest tails.

He’ll have some brothers and sisters soon so I’ll see what kind of variety I get there. This hatch is Loki x Chanel, so will have the same blood as him but aren’t lien bred like he.

I’m sorry to hear this my friend. It’s a shame about your chooks but at least you’ve gotten away from this.
I wish you all the best on your new farm.

Keep a close eye on this egg, if it begins to seep or smells off in the least bit discard it immediately. If bacteria forms it could contaminate your entire hatch.
So the wax egg started to develop and died. 4 eggs out of 7 died early. One I haven't cracked open yet but I see it sloshing. 3 were not fertile. So basically...out of the 7 eggs I got none are chicks. Terrible. That shipment was a waste.

These things happen sometimes, I'm sorry it didn't work out this time, but there's always next time :hugs
