Tale as old as time! I ordered 15 little hens from an egg production pack from an online hatchery. They sent us 5 yellow, 5 brown, and 5 black and white. The only black ones in the egg production pack were advertised as Black Sex Link. The rest were either yellow or brown.
I'm hoping the hatchery made a mistake and accidentally sent us Barred rock hens, and not a bunch of Black Sex Link roosters...
They are currently 2 1/2 weeks old. Two of the black and white have distinctly shorter wings and tails, and they are more barred than the other three. They take charge, but I know hens can be bossy too.
So, Barred Rock, or Black Sex Link??
Or too young to tell?
