My rooster is a Plymouth Barred Rock. I was wondering what his chicks would look like, and how many would be Barred, if I crossed him to my hens. these are the breeds I have, and yes, I know Plymouth x Plymouth = Plymouth:

Plymouth Barred Rocks and mixes, White Leghorns, Buff Orpingtons, Rhode Island Reds and mixes, White Brahma, Bluebell, Australorp, Black Sex Link.

Everything will barred except the leghorn x, which will be white with black spots. It will technically be barred, but you won't really be Able to see it since it's white. You might be able to see little bits of barring on the black spots on it though. When you say white Brahma, I assume you mean a light Brahma? All other chicks besides leghorn x will be barred with some possible leakage from other colors. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong on this

Interesting question.
So the barring is dominant?

I have a bantam Amrock cockerel (same colouring) and several hens with other colours like Red (a bantam RIR) black Dutch (with lavender genes) Speckled and Partridge light brown.

If he's pure Barred Rock, then all offspring will be barred.
Barring on White, can create Barred Paints, or Ghost Barred Chickens. Just harder to see barring on a white chicken.

If he's a Barred Rock cross, then only half the offspring will be barred. Both sexes.

he has a single red feather in his neck, and a matching feather in his tail. I think he may be a Rhode Island Red mix.
