Beginner making a small run and would love advice!

Thank you! that's really good to know! How often do you have to replace your woodchips?
I've never had to replace my woodchips. They do a good job with drainage in winter and then dry out completely in summer. I have a very large run but I can tell even in a small run you would only have to worry about replacing them if you have to many chickens, too much manure.
 
ah I didn't even think of bullying, but you're totally right
bullying sucks. i had to build an entire second coop after a year of trying everything to intergrade. (with daily hours of free range too)! Good luck! Every monster in your zip code wants to eat your chickens. please protect them 🐓❤️
