Alfredo was the only black Watermaal at todays show, so he got BV . But I also acquired a new Blue Quail rooster who took Reserve of Breed today so I’m super excited to see what he can make for babies!

Hi everyone,

I’ve just stumbled across this thread (I’m more of a lurker here ) and was thrilled to see Watermaals still have a good following although they’re not at all common. Anyway, my daughter got a pair of Watermael from Kristen G (I’m assuming she’s the same lady I’ve seen posting on this this thread) in Oct and we absolutely adore them.

I wondered if the Association Facebook group was still active and if someone could send me info on how to get my daughter a membership in the breed club (if one still exists).

I thought they were quail but now I’m not totally sure lol. Do you have examples somewhere of the difference?

I’ll have to email Kristen and verify.

Just checked my email threads and they are quail.

Wellllll if you decide you have extra room…they’re pretty tiny and would take up very little space! They’re so chill…I took Christmas pics today and they were the only ones that cooperated enough to get nice pictures

I have a RIR bantam and a rosecomb black that might rivel a serama. They are so tiny. Miss Raven and Sherri.

Getting Starlena a chicken encyclopedia and a flock journal. She's going to help build their pen after I do the sand work to keep it from flooding in a hard rain. Then I'm ordering eggs and we are hatching out around 15(I hope, they will be from Texas). She's going to learn how to pick good birds to keep. Three to five pullets and one or two cockerels. Then we sell the rest.

We are going to the Bluebonnet Classic again this year. It's January 6th.

I think it was the predictability of college that was better, I graduated with my BS in 2012. Now I feel like my life is a test I didn’t study for
