Bermuda Hay for Sheep

I have several breed of goats, mostly being Nigies also. When I switched, they turned up their noses too. They would much rather prefer to eat Alfalfa, but Alfalfa always bloats one of them. When I switched to Bermuda, I have never had a problem with bloat since. They will adjust and run out to eat just like they normally do! No worries about that! And I have been feeding my goats this for years, no problems. They look healthy and rarely have any issues.

The quality and palatibility of Bermuda hay depends a whole lot on when in the growth cycle it was cut. Early cut hay, when the grass is young is tender and has a very high protein content. the animals love it. Later cut hay, when it is older and tougher, has lower nutritional conten and the animals don't like it nearly as well as they do early cut hay.
