Hey, new to the incubation process. I have an incubator, but I am wondering what is the best (hopefully most cost effective) incubator for goose eggs. I keep hearing stories of goslings burning themselves on the heating elements and am starting to worry.

Also, I have a chicken egg turner running in my incubator now, I was wondering if I could remove one of the egg trays to lay the goose eggs in the current bator?

Thanks for your help.

i reccomend the r-com 20 incubator, it will hold 10 goose eggs when you order it you need to ask for the goose egg turner too. I love mine and i have 20 duck eggs in mine due next friday!!!

I have a Hovabator 1588 Genesis and I love it. It holds a dozen large goose eggs with no problem.

Just hatched geese in it this very morning. You can buy a goose egg tray or hand turn. I hand turn mine and just lay them on the mesh on their sides.

Hi, I have just the regular starfoam incubator with an egg turner. My geese have laid eggs, but are not sitting. I hate to loose these huge eggs and noticed you mentioned laying yours on mesh and turning them. Could you, please tell me how to do this.
Thanks,
Linda

My goose eggs are very large and will not come close to sitting in my chicken egg tray. What do I do?

hey,i am an upcoming farmer in Africa and would like to learn more from your wisdom about birds as i also get started with mine

Last year I hatched about 34 goslings from about 60-70 eggs. I used a Hovabator and hand turned the eggs at least three times a day, misted with water most days, increased humidity in incubators for hatch.
