When we bought our pigeons, we bought a bag of this food from the same gentleman. It didn’t really cross my mind that we might not be able to find this same food locally. Our pigeons are basically pets that we are going to release to free fly each day (eventually). We aren’t racing them or anything fancy. Is this a good food choice? They seem to love it. Any recommendations on where to purchase it? A simple search online didn’t really give many options! 🤷🏼‍♀️ Thank you!

I would look into local feedstores, I know WilCo usually carries some sort of pigeon seed, I don't have TSC or RuralKing so I can't speak for them but they may also have pigeon seed? I've fed racers cup before, it's not bad, but honestly I haven't really met a pigeon seed I didn't like! :D My birds ate it all the same, only issue for me with some mixes (can't remember for winners cup specifically but had this issue at a local feedstore) the 'regular' mix I was buying had big peas and corn in it that my pigeons (except for my huge homers and damascenes) would ignore and just throw everywhere! So I now buy my local feestores 'high protein" seed mix which has smaller seeds and smaller popcorns :D

I think as long as you can find a feed that your pigeons eat and you can afford then it should be good! :D

Thank you! That makes me feel better about switching if I can’t find the same one. My pigeons seem to throw their corn around and cherry-pick certain seed.

I'm fairly new to Pigeons, I started with one Pet Pigeon I found at the start of the Pandemic. I started feeding him Toast when I met him, he liked to land on my plate & eat whatever I was eating, Loves Spagetti & Ravioli for some reason so maybe he's Italian, then I tied all kinds of stuff, Peas, Corn, (like out of a can) hah, then Pigeon Seed in a bag. Haha.. . It was super expensive as I live directly in the city & there are no feed stores. After 4 months we became pals- I tried seed for PIGEONS, very expensive so I had to find something else, I had some Rye Berries around & some wild Birdseed. I've tried WildBird seed but I have to sup it up for him with some additions- He LOVES Rye Berries I noticed too. (Hey I love him, Haha) So my current recipe is . . . WildBird seed, Safflower Seed, Rye Berris, Cracked Corn, Sunflower Hearts, Black Sunflower seeds, & I just tried adding Thistle Seed although he dont seem a fan. I buy everything separately and mix it up myself- The Rye Berries are probably the most costly but like I said. . . Anything for a pal & his girlfriend! I'm not sure the cost (not sure I want to know either, lol) but they all seem to love the mix. Anyone got anything else I may be missing & able to add? Online Ordering is a Plus here. . . Since I found him I've built a loft outside for 5 friends hes got, & he seems to love one additional female that was odd the rest picked on & pulled her head feathers out. They Kiss, make love, their in Love so I have these 2 in another loft I have inside my office in my Garage. Im hoping to have babies with these two so I'm hoping. Any ideas on food would be great too! I've tried raisins (surprised they dont like them cause I sure do), peanuts, fruit, I'll buy them whatever they want- They too are pets, so I'm not really looking to do anything but fly them & have fun-
