Best place to get Indian runner ducks?

I want some Indian runner ducks and TSC doesn't have them. Where is the best place to get them?

I got 6 runners from Metzer that arrived 4 weeks ago - they are healthy and friendly and arrived well packaged plus you can get them sexes so you end up with the male/female ratio you want right off the bat. Dispite being listed as a nervous temperament they will all pile into my lap and fall asleep.

I don’t have runners but I got mine from a local feed store. They helped me and you are helping your community by shopping local. I don’t know if you have a local feed store or if they have Indian runners but it’s worth checking out!

Mine will be coming from Ideal Poultry in 2 weeks. I'll let you know how they arrived. I'm hoping they'll be in good shape.

How cute! I want runners too, I'm hoping to have them be a little tame too.

They are all friendly but definitely on a spectrum - Blue is a total lap duck and snuggles up on me and loves to be picked up - if I put a hand out she will flop onto it (which worked much better when she was still small and could tuck her feet up) Chocoduc runs more nervous. She is quiet happy to take treats and eat from my hand but is more aloof and while she likes head scritchies she has to be the one to approach me and sit down or she gets the gingerbread man syndrome - which is its own amusement when she dances off three feet and then comes right back (need itches, don't touch, me please scricth the itches, dont touch meeeee!). The other four fall between the two of them in peopleness

I do spend a minimum of 2 hours a day with them handling them and feeding them, all my previous experience is with parrots so I'm going with the well handled when young makes them sociable adults (hopefully).

I highly suggest purchasing them from metzer. I’ve gotten 4/6 of my ducks from metzer and everytime they were delivered safe and healthy. The prices are reasonable, the shippings more expensive than the actual ducklings which is understandable considering they make sure the ducklings have a heat pad and grow gel and bedding and also that they get delivered within 2 days maximum.
