If using a 1 gallon jug of water how many 250mg capsules should I mix to do as drinking water and how many days?

Are you talking about amoxicillin? What is wrong and are you treating the one chicken. Can you get a weight? A 250 mg capsule can be given to a 5 pound chicken orally right into the beak to swallow twice a day. It is more accurate than trying to give it in water, and I have never known amoxicillin to be soluble in water.

A 250 mg capsule can be given to a 5 pound chicken orally right into the beak to swallow twice a day. It is more accurate than trying to give it in water, and I have never known amoxicillin to be soluble in water.

The young slate turkeys got the sniffles after we had those side affect storms come thru from last hurricane. Within days we noticed their pen mate young chicks started doing it. I ordered the 4 in 1 that you mix with water. But it still hasn’t arrived. Someone told me to take a gallon jug and mix 2 of the 500 mg amoxicillin capsule powder in it and use as only source of water till my order comes in. I did start that 4 or 5 days ago, expecting the other to be in mailbox within 2 but 3rd day latest. Currently all the birds are almost done making the sounds. There wasn’t any drainage when I started that mix, and thank goodness still none.
