It would be a bit better than the Quaker style coop as it could be kept outside the run easier (it wouldn’t work with the other as it would be backwards) and is a lot cheaper. It is only like a $200 different between the base of the two but the add ons are about half the price

Main complaint about this one is ventilation is very low (good in hot summers, bad in winter) and it's much harder to add protected ventilation in a gambrel style structure.
