Hi All

My beautiful black chicken crowed last Thursday. I am devastated. Luckily I took him back to the farm and he is going to be used for breeding. He is now 25 weeks old. I now have a replacement Orpington that is only 12 weeks old so have to introduce her to my other birds. (light sussex and barred rock) the barred rock is not taking to kindly to her but we have had her for 6 days now and she is slowly settling in.

First pic is hen second is rooster. A hen's secondary feathers stay together and separate from the primary feathers. A rooster's secondary feathers spread apart and stay with the primary feathers.
