Hey guys! It’s been a while since I’ve been on— Life’s been crazy with college prep and I haven’t been able to be on too much.
Anyways, it got very cold very fast— and last night, I had to pull them in for the night. I let them out for a little this morning (it was still very cold so I didn’t release them back to their coop just yet) and I noticed something. Normally, black poo every once in a while doesn’t bother me— it’s just cecal poop. What is bothering me is this very watery, very large poop that was excreted from one of my chickens. Everyone is eating, drinking, and walking around like normal— even egg laying cycles haven’t been too disrupted. Thoughts and concerns?

The one on the right is cecal poop. I would not be too concerned as the droppings can be different colors, depending on what they have been eating, and still be normal. If the chickens all look active and alert, and are eating, then there is probably nothing wrong.

Thank you!
